Ultrasound During COVID-19: A German Perspective

In this podcast we talk to Hicham Benkhai to discuss the advantages of ultrasound use in COVID-19 positive environments in comparison to other imaging modalities. With increased usage, it is important to ensure ultrasound equipment is properly cleaned and disinfected for use.

Hicham, who has a background in human biology with focus on hygiene and environmental medicine, has drawn infection prevention knowledge from scientific work in cell biology, microbiology and hygiene at the German Institute for Hygiene Environmental Medicine at the University Hospital Greifswald, under the direction of one of Germany’s leading hygiene expert members of the German Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO). He is the Nanosonics Territory Sales Manager for Bavaria, Germany.
